Romtelecom, Romania’s largest wireline operator, will outsource its field operations to Ericsson. 
Under a five year managed services agreement, Ericsson will be responsible for corrective and preventive field maintenance of switching and power systems. As a result of the agreement, about 400 employees from Romtelecom will be transferred to Ericsson. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Ericsson noted that the contract marks its first managed services deal in Romania.
