Nokia and ACES-NH have successfully deployed Saudi Arabia’s first 25G PON-based neutral host fiber network, enhancing broadband connectivity and supporting multiple service providers. The deployment marks a significant milestone in Saudi Arabia’s fiber evolution, aligning with the country’s Vision 2030 digital infrastructure goals.

The neutral host model allows multiple service providers to share a high-performance fiber network, reducing redundancy and improving efficiency. Nokia’s Altiplano Access Controller automates network operations, lowering costs and enabling high-speed service delivery for residential, enterprise, and smart city applications. The initial deployment includes Optical Line Terminals (OLTs) and Optical Network Terminals (ONTs), paving the way for future nationwide expansion.

Key advancements in the deployment include:

  • 25G PON-Based Neutral Host Network: First deployment in Saudi Arabia, allowing multiple operators to share a unified fiber infrastructure.
  • Automation with Nokia’s Altiplano Access Controller: Streamlines operations and improves service efficiency.
  • Future-Ready Infrastructure: Nokia supports 10G, 25G, 50G, and future 100G PON technologies.
  • High-Speed, Low-Latency Connectivity: Enhances broadband services for enterprises, small and medium-sized businesses, and residential users.
  • Smart City and Industrial Applications: Enables connectivity for next-generation digital experiences, cloud gaming, and enterprise networking.

“Together with Nokia, we are proud to deliver Saudi Arabia’s first 25G PON-based neutral host network. This deployment transforms fiber connectivity in the Kingdom, giving multiple service providers secure, high-speed access over a shared infrastructure and reinforcing ACES-NH’s leadership in neutral host solutions,” said Dr. Luai Hasnawi, Chief of Fixed Network at ACES-NH.
