SOLiD Technologies Announced 16 Wave WDM-PON

South Korea-based SOLiD Technologies has developed a WDM-PON system with the ability to deliver 16 WDM channels of GbE over a single fiber core up to more than 40km. Unlike the conventional WDM-PONs like Injection-locking and RSOA where external seed light sources are used, this system uses the cost-effective tunable lasers with a wavelength stabilization scheme.
