StarHub has launched its Low Latency Data Centre Connect service, offering businesses in Singapore and the region ultra-low latency connectivity for seamless access to cloud services and applications. The new service, which is powered by Ciena’s Data Centre Interconnect (DCI) solution, is designed to meet the increasing demand for real-time data processing and faster application responsiveness, essential for time-sensitive operations and interactive applications. By leveraging advanced software-defined networking (SDN) capabilities and quantum secure communications, the service aims to enhance customer experiences, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.
Currently available across multiple data centres with plans for further expansion, the service features latency under 1ms, network slicing, on-demand bandwidth scaling, and automated deployment and configuration.
StarHub’s collaboration with partners like Global Switch, Ciena, Digital Realty, and Terrabit Networks further strengthens its network ecosystem, enabling ultra-low latency connectivity across key data centre ecosystems and submarine cable points of presence.
