T-Mobile (NASDAQ: TMUS) introduced two new capabilities—Edge Control and T-Platform—to enhance its Advanced Network Solutions (ANS) portfolio, targeting enterprises that require real-time, high-performance, and secure connectivity. These offerings are designed to address mission-critical use cases across sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, and defense, where uptime, latency, and data sovereignty are essential. Industry partners including the PGA of America, the Formula 1 Heineken Las Vegas Grand Prix, and the U.S. military are among early adopters exploring the technology.
Edge Control delivers private-network-like performance without the overhead of deploying a dedicated private 5G system at every site. Built on T-Mobile’s nationwide 5G Advanced network, it enables ultra-low-latency data routing between endpoints and edge compute environments. The solution allows enterprises to process data locally within existing infrastructure—whether on-premises or in private clouds—offering flexibility for compliance and performance needs. By optimizing intra-network routing, Edge Control minimizes “hops” and eliminates the inefficiencies of traditional VPN tunnels, maintaining low latency even for remote users while meeting data sovereignty requirements.
T-Platform serves as a unified management interface for all T-Mobile for Business services, giving enterprises centralized visibility across 5G Business Internet, IoT deployments, and performance analytics. This single-portal approach streamlines network operations, helping organizations manage thousands of connected devices and locations from one dashboard. Together, Edge Control and T-Platform position T-Mobile to extend 5G beyond connectivity into intelligent, controllable infrastructure for enterprises.
