Taiwan's Chunghwa Telecom Deploys T640 Core Routers

Chunghwa Telecom, the incumbent operator in Taiwan, is building a unified IP core network with Juniper Networks T-series core routers to underpin its fixed-mobile convergence (FMC) strategy and support its entire suite of advanced services, including fixed line, Internet access, and mobile telecommunications services. Juniper said the single IP core will help Chunghwa Telecom to reduce operational costs and to rapidly launch new access technologies and revenue-generating services including VoIP; 2G, 2.5G and 3G mobile; Fiber to the Building (FTTB); IP VPN; Video-on-Demand and high-density broadband aggregation.
