Nokia has announced that HOMEPLUS will deploy its 25G Passive Optical Network (PON) fiber solution, making it the first broadband provider in Taiwan to offer 25Gb/s symmetrical broadband speeds. This deployment positions HOMEPLUS as a leader in high-speed internet services in the region, enabling them to provide enhanced residential and enterprise services with speeds significantly higher than the national average. The new service will support a range of applications, including cloud computing, 8K video streaming, and virtual reality.

The 25G PON solution, powered by Nokia’s Quillion chipset and Lightspan FX platform, allows HOMEPLUS to upgrade its existing fiber infrastructure to meet the growing demand for higher bandwidth. This futureproof technology provides a scalable and efficient way to offer multi-gigabit services, giving HOMEPLUS a competitive edge in Taiwan’s broadband market. Nokia’s full range of next-generation PON technologies ensures that operators like HOMEPLUS can choose the best strategy to meet their business needs.

Key Points:

• HOMEPLUS is the first in Taiwan to deploy 25G PON, offering 25Gb/s symmetrical broadband.

• The service will support advanced applications like cloud computing, 8K video, and VR.

• Nokia’s Quillion chipset and Lightspan FX platform power the upgrade to 25G PON.

• The solution allows for scalable and efficient use of existing fiber infrastructure.
