Telecom Italia has kicked off the second phase of LTE testing using 17 sites in the center of Turin. Italy’s Ministry of Economic Development authorized the use of two 20 MHz blocks in 2500-2690 MHz frequency band.
major technology partners involved in Telecom Italia’s test include Alcatel-Lucent, Ericsson, Huawei and Nokia Siemens Networks.
Nokia Siemens Networks confirmed that it supplied its Flexi Multiradio Base Station, as well as its Evolved Packet Core (EPC) technology, which consists of the highly-scalable Flexi NG (Network Gateway) and Flexi NS (Network Server), for the test.
