Ericsson and Telia achieved a throughput of 2.2 Gbps over a microwave hop on the carrier’s live network in Oslo, Norway. The test was performed in a 112MHz channel utilizing 4096QAM in a 2+0 XPIC configuration in the 38GHz frequency band.

Ericsson was recently chosen by Telia as a single supplier of Microwave Radio equipment nationwide for Telia Norway. The new agreement is based on Ericsson’s MINI-LINK microwave portfolio, including the latest MINI-LINK 6600 series.
