Toshiba America Information Systems unveiled its new line of IP5000-series IP telephones, featuring backlit displays and a built-in Gigabit Ethernet switch that supports high-speed network connections directly to the desktop.

The new IP telephones are compatible with the Toshiba Strata CIX family of IP business communications systems.

Key features include:

  • A low profile design (less than one inch thick) with stylish tilt stand offering eight adjustable positions and integrated headset interface.
  • Large, easy-to-read backlit LCD screen
  • Built-in dual Gigabit Ethernet ports support high-speed network connections directly to the desktop, providing enhanced VoIP performance and sound quality. This is a standard feature on all the IP5000 models.
  • Mobility — Toshiba’s IP5000 telephones can be moved around the office or taken home for use virtually anywhere there is Internet access.
  • Remote Use — When used remotely, Toshiba’s IP5000 telephones deliver all the features as if they were being used at the office, including both incoming and outgoing Caller ID, direct extension calling and more.
