At #MWC25, Broadcom unveiled VeloSky, a converged networking solution that enables Communications Service Providers (CSPs) to integrate fiber, cellular, and satellite connectivity into a single platform. Designed to simplify network operations and enhance performance, VeloSky leverages Broadcom’s VeloRAIN (Robust AI Networking) architecture, offering AI-driven visibility, traffic prioritization, and automation. By combining wired and wireless networks, CSPs can accelerate 5G adoption, optimize satellite utilization, and deliver seamless, secure, high-performance connectivity to enterprise customers.

VeloSky addresses key enterprise networking challenges, including latency, bandwidth management, and security, by dynamically allocating resources and prioritizing mission-critical traffic. The platform supports Dynamic Multipath Optimization (DMPO) to intelligently direct traffic, while Dynamic Application-Based Slicing (DABS) ensures efficient bandwidth allocation. With Enhanced Firewall Services (EFS) and L4-7 application-aware security, VeloSky provides centralized threat protection and network segmentation, eliminating the need for external firewalls. The solution also simplifies network management through zero-touch provisioning, real-time visibility, and unified monitoring across fiber, fixed wireless access, and satellite networks.

By integrating diverse network technologies into a single AI-optimized solution, VeloSky empowers CSPs to expand their enterprise services and revenue models. The platform supports 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA), private networks, and network slicing, enabling cloud-driven, secure, and scalable connectivity. Industry leaders including MetTel and Vodafone Business have highlighted VeloSky’s potential to support AI-driven enterprise applications, enhance reliability, and improve operational efficiency. As enterprises increasingly demand seamless, high-performance networking, VeloSky positions Broadcom as a key enabler of converged, software-defined connectivity.

• Broadcom launches VeloSky, a converged networking solution for CSPs, integrating fiber, 5G, and satellite connectivity.

• VeloSky’s AI-driven platform prioritizes mission-critical traffic, dynamically allocates bandwidth, and optimizes network slicing.

• Built-in security features include Enhanced Firewall Services (EFS) with intrusion detection, URL filtering, and malicious IP protection.

• Zero-touch provisioning, real-time monitoring, and unified control simplify network management and reduce operational costs.

• MetTel and Vodafone Business see VeloSky as a key enabler of AI-driven enterprise applications and next-gen connectivity services.

“VeloSky represents a dramatic leap forward in network convergence. By unifying diverse network underlays into a single, AI-optimized platform, service providers can deliver premium, differentiated services to enterprise customers while simplifying operations and accelerating time-to-revenue,” said Sanjay Uppal, VP and GM, VeloCloud Division, Broadcom.
