Verizon and NVIDIA Partner to Bring AI to 5G Private Networks

Verizon has announced a new solution developed in partnership with NVIDIA to enable enterprises to run advanced AI applications over Verizon’s secure, low-latency 5G private network with private Mobile Edge Compute (MEC). The solution combines Verizon’s network capabilities with NVIDIA AI Enterprise software and NIM microservices, delivering real-time AI services on-premises for enterprise customers. Demonstrations of the technology are set to begin in early 2025.

The Verizon 5G Private Network with Enterprise AI solution provides ultra-low latency, high bandwidth, and enhanced security to support compute-intensive AI applications. These include generative AI models, computer vision, robotics, AR/VR/XR, IoT, and more. The modular platform offers scalability, multi-tenancy, and the ability to operate either remotely or on-site, catering to diverse enterprise needs. Designed to accommodate future AI advancements, the solution aims to accelerate AI adoption across industries such as healthcare, logistics, and manufacturing.

“Generative AI is poised to be a critical component of digital transformation,” said Srini Kalapala, Verizon’s Senior Vice President of Technology and Product Development. “Our partnership with NVIDIA enables businesses to harness the power of AI with real-time processing, secure infrastructure, and scalable solutions, driving efficiency and innovation across sectors.”
