Vernier Networks, a start-up specializing in adaptive security products for wired and wireless networks, appointed Simon Khalaf as president and CEO. Before joining the company, Khalaf led Connectus Management Group, a management consulting firm in the IT security space. Previously, he was president of Volera Corp.
In addition, Vernier named Bethany Mayer as its new vice president of marketing. Prior to joining Vernier, Mayer served as vice president of product marketing for four years with SkyStream Networks, where she was responsible for directing marketing strategies and driving technology initiatives.
