Vonage Launches RCS to Transform Business Messaging

Vonage, a business unit of Ericsson, launched its Rich Communication Services (RCS) solution through the Vonage Messages API, offering businesses a new way to interact with customers using rich, secure, and real-time communications. Vonage RCS enables businesses to provide branded, verified messages with rich media content, such as images, videos, and audio files, delivered directly to customers’ preferred messaging apps. The service enhances the customer experience with conversational capabilities and interactive elements like carousels, typing indicators, and suggested replies.

Businesses can also leverage Vonage RCS to run personalized marketing campaigns at scale, using the Vonage Conversational Commerce platform powered by Jumper.ai. This allows companies to engage with customers in two-way conversations powered by AI, boosting sales and customer service efficiency. With RCS, businesses can meet the growing demand for interactive communications, as users are 35 times more likely to read RCS messages than emails and 72% more likely to make a purchase when they can engage in real-time.

• Vonage RCS provides branded, encrypted messages with carrier-verified status

• Rich media content includes videos, images, audio files, and interactive elements

• Supports personalized marketing campaigns using AI-powered bots and live chat

• Available in 10+ countries across EMEA, North America, and South America

• RCS market expected to grow from USD $317M in 2024 to $4.2B by 2029

“Vonage RCS enables businesses to engage customers in a superior manner, enhancing their interactions and satisfaction,” said Colin Brown, Head of API Product Management at Vonage.
