Nokia has expanded its partnership with Dutch cloud infrastructure provider Worldstream to deploy advanced DDoS protection across its network in the Netherlands and beyond. Worldstream has implemented Nokia’s Deepfield Defender solution alongside Nokia 7750 SR routers, boosting its DDoS mitigation capacity by eight times. The upgrade will deliver real-time, automated protection against increasingly complex and high-volume cyberattacks, including AI-driven threats, to Worldstream’s enterprise hosting customers.
Before this deployment, Worldstream faced limits in defending against large-scale carpet-bombing attacks that target multiple IP addresses and could disrupt entire customer networks. The Nokia Deepfield solution enables Worldstream to instantly detect and mitigate threats at the network level, minimizing latency and avoiding traffic diversion often required by legacy systems. The integrated platform now provides line-rate DDoS protection across all peering interfaces, protecting customers against a wide variety of attacks such as TCP application floods and botnet-driven assaults.
Nokia’s solution allows Worldstream to scale protection in step with growing network demand. The approach enhances network resilience and delivers real-time automated mitigation, protecting customers without impacting performance. The deployment comes as AI accelerates the sophistication and frequency of cyberattacks, pushing hosting providers to adopt more advanced security architectures.
