Mexens Technology, maker of the Navizon positioning system has been selected by Yahoo! Mobile to be a provider of WiFi and Cellular positioning technology. 
The companies will provide a highly targeted experience to mobile users based on their geography. This deal will also further improve the accuracy and coverage of Mexens’ database of Cellular towers and WiFi access points by adding resources to the data collection mechanism provided by the global community of Navizon users.
The Navizon positioning system combined GPS, WiFi and cellular signals . It relies on a community of users worldwide to build a dynamic database of WiFi access points and GSM, CDMA and 3G towers. Navizon is available on most mobile platforms such as Blackberry, iPhone, Windows Mobile, Symbian/S60 and Java phones.
