ZTE introduced its next generation packet gateway product with a capacity of 160 Gbps for mobile core network requirements.
The ZXUN xGW delivers service based policy control for the mobile core of EVDO, WiMAX, HSPA+ or LTE networks.
The platform leverages multi-core network processor for hardware-based QoS guarantees. It provides inspection on IP flows from L3 to L7, and supports direct tunnel capabilities to divert select traffic directly to the Internet.
ZTE said the same platform could also be used for WiFi and xDSL/xPON fixed broadband access.
