Telefónica Tech unveiled the ‘Telefónica Tech GenAI Platform,’ a new tool designed to empower businesses with customizable virtual assistants that can solve complex queries, automate repetitive tasks, and optimize internal processes. Developed in collaboration with Altostratus, part of Telefónica Tech, the platform offers a user-friendly interface and a ‘Plug & Play’ configuration for seamless deployment. It integrates advanced Large Language Models (LLMs) while ensuring data control and security through deployment within the customer’s infrastructure.

The company says its new AI platform is adaptable, allowing businesses to tailor it to specific needs while supporting multiple users and integrating with hundreds of tools, including information repositories, communication systems, and business applications. It enhances customer service, streamlines operations in areas such as human resources and financial planning, and uses advanced data analysis to anticipate trends. By freeing up resources, the platform helps organizations focus on strategic growth initiatives. Telefónica Tech ensures compliance with the European Artificial Intelligence Regulation (RIA) and regional laws while maintaining robust data governance.

Elena Gil Lizasoain, Director of AI and Data at Telefónica Tech, emphasized the platform’s scalability and accessibility, stating, “This new platform was created with the aim of boosting the use of Generative AI in all types of organisations, regardless of the size and technical level of the users, and to popularise the use of personalised virtual assistants to transform businesses and make them more efficient and resilient.” Backed by Telefónica Tech’s global network of over 400 AI professionals and ten specialized centers, the platform is positioned as a cornerstone for businesses aiming to integrate Generative AI solutions into their operations.

• Telefónica Tech GenAI Platform simplifies the deployment of customizable virtual assistants through a Plug & Play setup.

• Integrates advanced LLMs for automation, customer service improvement, and operational optimization.

• Offers compatibility with a wide range of tools and APIs, ensuring adaptability across industries.

• Features real-time monitoring to select the most efficient AI model based on cost, performance, and latency.

• Compliant with European AI regulations and regional data governance policies.

“This new platform was created with the aim of boosting the use of Generative AI in all types of organisations, regardless of the size and technical level of the users,” said Elena Gil Lizasoain, Director of AI and Data at Telefónica Tech.
