Marvell agreed to acquire Radlan Computer Communications, a provider of embedded communications software. Marvell, which currently owns 9% of Radlan, will issue a combination of cash and shares of Marvell common stock valued at $49.7 million based on yesterday’s closing price of Marvell in exchange for the remaining outstanding shares of Radlan capital stock and employee stock options. Marvell said Radlan’s networking infrastructure drivers, interfaces and software modules provide a good match for its mixed-signal ICs. Radlan is based in Tel Aviv, Israel.
