TeliaSonera Supplies Backbone Services to Lycos Europe

TeliaSonera International Carrier (former Telia International Carrier) will supply backbone capacity for Lycos Europe, one of the leading European Internet portals. Lycos Europe’s corporate network connects its headquarters and central data center in Gütersloh, Germany with Lycos data centers in Hamburg, Paris, Copenhagen and Stockholm as well as major peering points in Amsterdam, London and Frankfurt. TeliaSonera IC is providing links ranging from 155 Mbps to 622 Mbps. The contract has a duration of three years. Financial terms were not disclosed.
