Alcatel said its market share in DSL line shipments rose to 40.5% in Q4 2003, based on figures from Dell’Oro Group. The company credited its improved its worldwide position in the DSL market largely due to significant market share gains in Asia Pacific. Year to year, shipments have more than doubled worldwide, and with 15.8 million lines shipped in 2003, Alcatel reached a cumulative number of DSL lines shipped of more than 39.2 million.
Of the installed base of DSL worldwide, Alcatel claims a cumulative market share of 37%. http://www.alcatel.com
