BigBand Enables On-Demand Delivery of HDTV Content

BigBand Networks is demonstrating edge processing for VOD delivery of HDTV content. BigBand VOD Edge performs high density QAM modulation and RF upconversion of HDTV content provided from a server via Gigabit Ethernet. Cable operators could use the solution for channel line-up control and to seamlessly include live HDTV and SDTV feeds multiplexed within the same channels.
