Brasil Telecom selects Lucent for DSL Expansion

Brasil Telecom selected Lucent Technologies to install 100,000 new ADSL access ports in the regions of Brasilia, Rio Grande do Sul, Parana and Santa Catarina. Brasil Telecom will use locally produced Lucent Stinger (FS and FS+) DSL access concentrators. Lucent Worldwide Services (LWS) will also provide engineering and installation services. In addition, LWS is leveraging the Lucent Navis Access software solution to offer Brasil Telecom centralized management. Financial terms were not disclosed.
