Juniper Networks announced the results of extensive testing verified by BT Exact, BT’s technology and IT operations division, confirming the advanced high availability features of the T640 core routing platform. The testing highlights three major components of high availability functionality; control plane resiliency, forwarding plane failovers and in-service software upgrades. The tests validated that the T640 was capable of this functionality and would continue packet forwarding during these events with both a large number of peers and a large number of routes configured.
