Cedar Point Communications raised $15 million in additional financing for its integrated packet-based voice switching solutions for the cable industry.
Cedar Point’s SAFARI C(Cubed) is carrier class VoIP switch that incorporates all of the components that make up the PacketCable voice switching infrastructure, including call management servers, media gateways, record keeping servers, announcement servers, signaling gateways, Ethernet switches and CALEA servers.
The financing was led by Focus Ventures and included participation from existing investors Ascent Venture Partners, Battery Ventures, Charles River Ventures, Comcast Interactive Capital, JP Morgan Partners, Motorola Ventures and STAR Ventures.
