Taiwan’s Chunghwa Telecom Telecommunication Laboratories to validate the performance, availability, security and scalability (PASS) of cloud computing environments. Chunghwa aims to become Taiwan’s largest cloud computing and data center provider and has announced plans to launch four cloud computing centers aimed at developing and testing a wide range of services. The operator used Spirent TestCenter™ Virtual for benchmarking data center and virtual server performance. The Spirent solution was also used for extensive testing of public cloud computing services such as web, mail server, FTP and CIFS.
