E2O's Long Reach Transceiver Extends GigE over Single Mode Fiber to 120 Km

E2O Communications introduced an SFP long wavelength transceiver capable of supporting Gigabit Ethernet on a single mode fiber of up to 120 km with more than 30dB link budget. The technology leverages an uncooled 1550 nm DFB laser for the transmitter and an InGaAs APD for the receiver. A CWDM option for this product is also available.
