At ECOC24, YOFC is introducing its MaxBand OM4 Pro and OM4 Ultra series of multimode fibers, designed to enhance the efficiency of AI-driven data centers. These new products address the challenges posed by higher transmission speeds and wavelength drift in 100G/Lane optical transceivers. The MaxBand OM4 Pro offers an effective modal bandwidth of over 4700 MHz km, while the OM4 Ultra expands the operating range to 910nm, enabling longer transmission distances for 100G and Terabit BiDi links. These fibers are fully compatible with existing OM4 and OM5 standards, supporting the industry’s shift toward faster, denser, and more efficient networking solutions.
The MaxBand OM4 Ultra fiber supports dual-wavelength operation and is optimized for high-speed transmission, making it ideal for 400G, 800G, and 1.6Tbps systems. These fibers enable data centers to achieve higher throughput using fewer fibers, making them a cost-effective solution for next-generation data networks. YOFC’s new multimode fibers are designed to meet the growing demands of AI and cloud infrastructures while supporting the green and low-carbon development of data centers.
