Huawei has supplied its EPON OLTs in Shanghai’s Jiading Industrial Park. The equipment is being used for delivering broadband dedicated lines and high-speed Internet services to subscribers in the park. The OLT is located in the operator’s existing equipment room and optical splitters are place throughout the industrial park. Huawei’s OLT provides up to 1:64 branching ratio to access 3,584 subscribers simultaneously. An MPLS kernel supports multiple services, including voice, IPTV, CATV and data. Huawei said it plans to increase the EPON capacity and add more GPON features.
