Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited (VSNL), India’s leading telecommunications and Internet service provider, selected Cisco Systems’ Metro Ethernet solution for delivering broadband services to enterprise and residential customers. The Cisco Metro Ethernet solution is based on the Cisco 12000, 7600, and 7300 Series Routers and Cisco Catalyst 2950 series switches. VSNL will use the network for triple play and bundled services, including VoIP, broadcast TV and video on demand for residential customers, and IP VPN and videoconferencing services for business customers.
