John Killian was named to head the new business unit that will encompass MCI and Verizon’s Enterprise Solutions Group. Killian previously served as senior vice president and chief financial officer for Verizon Domestic Telecom. He has already named seven other executive appointments for his team, effective one the merger is completed.
The new business unit, whose name is expected to be announced within a few weeks, will provide services to large business and government customers, as well as MCI’s current customer base.
