Juniper Networks announced an expansion of its partnership with Samsung to deliver mobile security, secure connectivity and device management capabilities for enterprise customers of Samsung high-end smart mobile devices, starting with GALAXY Note, GALAXY SII and GALAXY Tab 10.1.

The companies said their expanded partnership builds on existing efforts to provide Juniper Networks Junos Pulse and Junos Pulse Mobile Security Suite full line of features and services on select Samsung mobile devices, enabling reliable, secure mobile remote access (via SSL VPN), application and threat protection, and mobile device management and control.

“Our partnership with a major mobile device manufacturer, such as Samsung, enables us to jointly deliver on critical and innovative functionality enabling the highest value for our joint customers,” said Sanjay Beri, vice president and general manager, Junos Pulse Business Unit, Juniper Networks. “Juniper and Samsung are committed to a partnership wherein the two companies will continue to deliver secure, business-ready solutions enhancing security posture for enterprises and enabling new differentiated offerings for service providers.”

Junos Pulse provides full Layer 3 SSL VPN functionality enabling secure anytime anywhere access to any network accessible corporate application and resource. In addition, the latest version of Junos Pulse Mobile Security Suite includes the ability to automatically remove malicious applications from Samsung GALAXY Note, GALAXY SII and GALAXY Tab 10.1. Also, it can automatically revoke applications, without user intervention or control that an enterprise IT administrator may want to prohibit from corporate-issued or employee-owned devices which access their business data or network. http://www.juniper.net
