Kabel Deutschland, the largest cable operator in Germany, has selected ADVA Optical Networking’s 100G coherent transport for a new nationwide backbone network.
Kabel Deutschland will deploy ADVA’s 100G technology along with multi-degree, directionless ROADMs. The fully meshed network consists of 26 major nodes and more than 50 intermediate sites. Financial terms were not disclosed.
