Level 3 Opens First POP in Africa

Level 3 Communications will establish an IP node in Djibouti, a small country in the horn of Africa, through a partnership with Djibouti Telecom. Five submarine cables have landings in Djibouti. This is Level 3’s first point-of-presence in Africa. Services will commence in the third quarter of 2012.
