Nokia and Supermicro Team Up on AI-Optimized Data Center Networking

Nokia and Supermicro have formed a strategic partnership to deliver integrated, AI-optimized data center networking solutions targeting hyperscalers, enterprises, cloud providers, and communication service providers (CSPs). The collaboration combines Supermicro’s 800G Ethernet switching hardware with Nokia’s Service Router Linux (SR Linux) operating system and Event-Driven Automation (EDA) framework to provide a turnkey, pre-validated data center platform.

The integrated solution addresses the escalating demands of AI and cloud workloads, which increasingly require high throughput, scalability, and automation. Customers gain an infrastructure stack that spans networking, compute, and storage, designed to accelerate deployment timelines, reduce operational costs, and improve efficiency from Day 0 design to Day 2+ operations. Nokia emphasized that putting networking at the center of the architecture is critical to handling the exponential growth of AI and high-performance computing workloads.

By leveraging Supermicro’s direct sales and channel reach, Nokia expects to broaden its footprint in enterprise and HPC markets, while Supermicro strengthens its ability to offer networked compute platforms tightly integrated with advanced automation. The companies say the joint solution ensures high reliability, reduces manual intervention, and proactively resolves issues across large-scale data centers.
