NuVio, a start-up based in Kansas City, launched residential VoIP service over broadband connections in seven U.S. cities — Atlanta, Colorado Springs, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Joplin, and Springfield.
Residential service starts at $14.99 per month and includes 500 long distance minutes and an unlimited local and long distance plan is available at $34.99 per month for those who seek a flat rate monthly fee. Monthly business service starts at $39.99 per month or $49.99 per month for flat rate unlimited local and long distance. NuVio does not provide the broadband connection.
