OCP Announces OC-48/STM-16 SFP Transceivers

Optical Communication Products announced the availability of its 40km and 80km OC-48/STM-16 small form pluggable (SFP) transceivers. They feature integrated optical isolators and digital diagnostics monitoring (DDM) to support long distance metropolitan area networking (MAN) applications. OCP’s OC-48/STM-16 SFP transceivers are available to support short, intermediate and long reach applications at both 1310nm and 1550nm. The DFB lasers used in intermediate and long reach transceivers utilize an integrated optical isolator for stable transmitter operation under the varying back-reflection conditions that exist in installed cable plants.
