Postini Now Processing 100 Million Corporate Emails Daily

Postini, a provider of corporate email security and spam filtering services, is now handling 100 million corporate emails per day, representing a 100% increase in traffic volume in six months. The company has 1,400 corporate clients. Postini said its systems are able to identify and protect against Directory Harvest Attacks, a new attack technique by which spammers quickly gain access to an enterprise’s entire corporate email directory. Postini said it now ranks as the 5th largest processor of email of any kind in the United States, behind AOL, Earthlink, MSN, and Yahoo.
