SiTime sign European Distributor for MEMS-based Devices

A A

SiTime, a start-up specializing in MEMS-based silicon timing solutions, has signed a European distribution agreement with Nu Horizons Electronics. Specifically, Nu Horizons has rights to distribute SiTime’s full range of MEMS-based timing solutions in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic and Slovakia. Nu Horizons Electronics is one of the top five, publicly quoted, distributors of semiconductors in the world.

SiTime’s MEMS-based silicon timing solutions include an integrable silicon resonator die, and fully packaged fixed and programmable oscillators. The company’s portfolio of MEMS-based timing solutions includes the industry’s lowest profile oscillator, the SiT8002XT, with a maximum height of just 0.25mm as well as the industry’s first, differential output programmable spread spectrum oscillator the SiT9002. The SiT8002XT is one third the height of an equivalent quartz oscillator and the part offers industry leading programmability, robustness and reliability, combined with short lead times. The device’s small size also enables it to be embedded inside popular SiP modules for mobile applications, eliminating external clock sources completely.http://www.sitime.comhttp://www.nuhorizons.com
