ST-Ericsson Delivers TD-HSDPA Silicon to Samsung

ST-Ericsson and its Chinese subsidiary T3G have supplied a TD-HSDPA and EDGE platform for Samsung’s high-end mobile devices for China. Specifically, ST-Ericsson’s multimedia T7210 silicon powers Samsungs feature-rich Emerald (GC-I6320C) handset, which is a TD-HSDPA/EDGE dual-mode, dual-band device capable of supporting downlink speeds of up to 2.8Mbps. ST-Ericsson platforms’ flexible dual-mode design enables seamless automatic handover between EDGE and TD-HSDPA networks.
