SUPERCOMM 2009 has been rescheduled from June 8-9 to October 21-23, 2009. The event will continue to be hosted at McCormick Place.

The United States Telecom Association (USTelecom) and the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), which are co-owners of the show said the rescheduling could help build on the momentum of the expected broadband stimulus spending.

“Our goal is to have a productive and timely forum at SUPERCOMM where all of the broadband technology stakeholders are present to realize, leverage and communicate the scope, opportunity and impact that the $7B stimulus package will offer. Further, the focus on broadband technology has become critical to our future both here and abroad and it is the mission and strategic intent of SUPERCOMMM to help accelerate and advance this technology,” said Walter McCormick, USTelecom President.

The organizers also confirmed the 2009 keynote schedule to include Ivan Seidenberg, Chairman and CEO, Verizon and John Stankey, President & CEO, AT&T Operations. Seidenberg will present the opening keynote on Wed. morning Oct. 21 and Stankey will present on Thurs. Oct. 22 in the morning.

EXPOCOMM Events LLC has been appointed the new management company for the event.
