“Innovation” has been added to the name of Deutsche Telekom’s T-Labs division to indicate a new direction. 
The new focus of the work at T-Labs is on the development of applications and services for interactive media and new telecommunications applications, as well as in the areas Connected Home, Machine-to-Machine (M2M), Smart Grid and Mobile Payment. It will continue focusing on cloud applications, the development of broadband networks and the optimization of Telekom’s infrastructure. In addition, Heinrich Arnold has been appointed manager of the new T-Labs.
Telekom Innovation Laboratories (T-Labs) currently has approximately 360 employees from 20 countries at sites in Berlin, Darmstadt, Bonn, Los Altos (USA) and Beer Sheva (Israel), T-Labs is therefore now officially called Telekom Innovation Laboratories (T-Labs).
