Verizon Secures its First Video Franchise in Virginia

The Town Council in Herndon, Virginia, voted to approve a video franchise for Verizon’s forthcoming Fios TV service delivered over its FTTP network. This marks the first local video franchise for Verizon in the state of Virginia. In addition to Herndon, Verizon has obtained video franchises in California, Florida and Texas.
