deltathree Receives Acquisition Bid for its SIP-based Network

deltathree, a provider of Internet telephony services, received an acquisition bid from D3 Acquisition to purchase all of the outstanding shares of deltathree not held by Atarey Hasharon Chevra Lepituach Vehashkaot Benadlan Ltd. and its affiliates for a price of $0.70 per share in cash. D3 Acquisition is a wholly owned special purpose acquisition corporation formed by Atarey. Together, Atarey and its affiliates currently own approximately 71% of deltathree.http://corp.deltathree.com

  • deltathree operates a SIP-enabled network based on Cisco equipment. The company’s PCPhone software is a SIP-based software client that enables customers to make outbound calls as well as to receive inbound calls to a regular US phone number assigned by deltathree, regardless of where in the world the call recipient may be at the time. deltathree also offers a line of IP headphones, handsets and full-feature IP desk phones. deltathree is headquartered in New York City with R&D in Jerusalem, Israel.
    Atarey Hasharon is a member of The Tshuva Group, an international conglomerate that includes four major companies traded on the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange.
