IBM Showcases BladeCenter for IMS, IPTV

A A

At SUPERCOMM, IBM is showcasing open telecommunications solutions built around its BladeServer hardware. IBM is announcing key business partner solutions around IP Multimedia Subsystems (IMS), including with AudioCodes, BayPackets, Brooktrout, DataPower, Leapstone and NexTone.

Using NexTone session management software and IBM BladeServer hardware, service providers can build a flexible framework to address immediate VoIP opportunities based on the IMS architecture. This solution, coupled with DSP media processing technology from AudioCodes, enables adoption of new IP based services from SS7 based networks.

IBM is demonstrating an IMS Mobile Prepaid Gaming application built on a single IBM BladeCenter chassis using the same IMS framework without affecting the operational network. The solution leverages the pre-built Gaming demo of Ubiquity SiPEAK Conferencing service, Terraplay Gaming application and IBM Presence Server with the combined element of NexTone session management software, Leapstone service brokering, BayPackets prepaid feature, DSP media gateway technology from AudioCodes, and Brooktrout IP media server.
