Nuera, Syndeo and InnoMedia Team on Cable Telephony Voice Encryption

Nuera Communications, Syndeo and InnoMedia are demonstrating an end-to-end cable telephony voice encryption system that combines the Nuera ORCA BTX gateway, the Syndeo Syion softswitch and the InnoMedia MTA 3328-1 single-port standalone Multimedia Terminal Adapter. The joint solution is based on CableLabs PacketCable 1.0 security requirements. This solution provides encrypted and authenticated phone conversations over a cable network. It also leverages Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and Multilinear Modular Hash (MMH), which authenticates the source of the encrypted voice packets and prevents a call from an unauthorized source.
